Ekaterina Zhupanova is one of four Tennis Canada officials to be nominated for Tennis Canada’s Award of Excellence, a top officiating award. At the provincial level Zhupanova is committed to growing the game as a roving official and chair umpire. In addition, she has represented Manitoba at various national and international level tournaments. As a chair umpire in 2017 she worked the $15K ITF women’s circuit event in Victoria, the $25K Winnipeg National Bank Challenger women’s event, the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, and the $60K Tevlin Women’s Challenger in Toronto. Also last year she worked as a line umpire at two Davis Cup ties, an ATP World Tour 500 event in Acapulco, the ATP Shenzhen Open in China, and the ATP China Open.
