Tennis Manitoba is proud to partner with the Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy to help introduce the game of tennis to youth from newcomer families across our community.
The Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy provides quality, accessible multi-sport programming for newcomer children and youth, using sport as a tool to support growth, development, integration, and inclusion. Through this partnership, Tennis Manitoba’s Game. Set. Equity. Ambassador, Amber Schneider, leads weekly tennis sessions that give participants the opportunity to develop new skills, stay active, build confidence, and create meaningful connections in a welcoming environment.
We are excited to be part of a program that uses sport to bring families together, create community connections, and foster a sense of belonging for newcomers as they settle into their new community. We look forward to watching these young athletes continue to grow both on and off the court.
