Kylie Waschuk enjoyed a successful season on the women’s tennis team at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Waschuk, a sophomore, went 5-0 in conference doubles play with partner Alexandra Petrzalkov. The pair of Waschuk/Petrzalkov was the only GCU doubles team on either the men’s or women’s squads to go undefeated in conference play.
Waschuk completed her 2015-16 GCU season by competing in the 116th annual Ojai Valley Tournament in California. After winning their opening women’s doubles match over the Chapman (California) team of Andrea Hammer/Maddie Saunders 6-4, 6-1, Waschuk and partner Lana Rinaldi were beaten in the quarterfinals by the Pomona-Pitzer (California) duo of Caroline Casper/Lea Lynn Yen 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.
