Kevin Kylar leads the list of Manitoba players in the Rogers Rankings at No. 53 nationally in men’s singles. Sean Lacap is ranked No. 64 and Shane Nicholls is at No. 76.

Kylar and Nicholls competed at the Canada F5 Futures in Calgary (August 28-September 2). In the qualifying rounds, Kylar was beat 7-6, 7-5 by fellow Canadian Stefan Frljanic and Nicholls lost  6-1, 6-4 to Bradley Holt of the United States. The tournament was won by American Ulises Blanch, who earned a 6-4, ret. win over Canada’s Filip Peliwo in the final.

In Rogers Rankings women’s singles, Monika Popovic is ranked No. 76 in Canada and Samantha Lee is at No. 92. Popovic won three women’s singles events in 2017 at Tennis Manitoba tournaments, capturing titles at the WLTC Open, Deer Lodge Classic and Tennis U Manitoba Finals. Lee was champion at the Tech-Air Manitoba Open for the second straight year.
