Manitoba was represented at the Lakeshore Junior Open in Regina (June 8-10) by Max Peters, Evan Peters, Kabeer Grewal, Ben Mayes, Noah Pe, Daniel Mullins, Andrea Oros, Zihan Aurora Ling and Stefan Barre.

Mullins reached two finals, winning the boys’ U14 singles title with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Pe (who beat Mayes in the semifinals) and losing to Keegan Rice 6-1, 7-5 in the boys’ U16 singles championship match. Barre won the boys’ U18 singles with round-robin wins over Austin Lin (6-2, 6-3) and Van Nguyen (6-3, 7-5), in addition to beating Nguyen 6-0, 7-5 in the boys’ U16 singles 3/4 match.

Max Peters, who placed second in boys’ U10 (full court) singles, captured the boys’ U10 (3/4 court) singles title with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Gavin Holtby-Miller.

In girls’ U14 singles, Ling was edged in the 5/6 match by Madelynn Ludwig 6-4, 5-7, 10-8 and Oros beat Nhu Nguyen-Quach 6-1, 6-0 in the 7/8 match.
