Greetings to all Tennis Manitoba member clubs, facilities, and players,
With the recent updates to the province’s public health orders, we’d like to share information related to the sport of tennis.
The current orders can be found here. Order 13-3 pertains specifically to outdoor sport and recreation. Order 15-2 addresses outdoor classes.
Outdoor tennis: can have up to 5 people on a court. This allows for singles and doubles play as well as lessons/clinics with 1 instructor and 4 participants.
Indoor tennis: not allowed.
Tournaments
We are currently planning an abbreviated tournament schedule while working within the parameters of the provincial public health orders. We do have the Manitoba Open scheduled in August at Kildonan Tennis Club and are finalizing details for some more junior and adult events. More information will follow as the tournament schedule should be finalized by June 4.
