Last November, Team Canada presented by Sobeys won the Davis Cup, the World Cup of Tennis, in Malaga, Spain for the first time in our history. The team was comprised of Félix Auger-Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov, Vasek Pospisil, Alexis Galarneau and Gabriel Diallo, led by captain Frank Dancevic.
As part of the Davis Cup Champions Tour presented by Sobeys, on May 1, 2023, we will welcome the iconic trophy to Winnipeg’s Taylor Tennis Centre from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Everyone in the Tennis Manitoba community and beyond is invited to join us in celebrating Canada’s historic triumph.
On this stop, attendees will have the opportunity to see one of the most prestigious trophies in all of sports up close and personal and have a picture taken with it, creating lasting memories and inspiring the next generation to pick up a racquet.
