Former world No. 19 Marcel Granollers of Spain is on the acceptance list of players coming to the Winnipeg National Bank Challenger, July 7-15 at Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club. Granollers has reached the fourth round of the French Open three times (2012, 2014, 2016) in addition to reaching the fourth round at the US Open in 2013.

Also expected to come to Winnipeg are Canadians Peter Polansky (2017 Winnipeg National Bank Challenger finalist), Filip Peliwo, Brayden Shnur and Frank Dancevic, as well as Japan’s Go Soeda (2016 Winnipeg National Bank Challenger champion).

On the women’s side, the players list is led by world No. 139 Katie Boulter of Great Britain. Boulter played in main draw singles and doubles at Wimbledon in 2017 and had a win this month in Nottingham against former US Open champion Samantha Stosur. Also expected to come to Winnipeg is Canadian Bianca Andreescu, who at age 18 is Canada’s fourth ranked women’s singles player.
