Reece Carter of Manitoba won three matches to qualify for the girls’ U14 main draw at the Junior Orange Bowl International in Florida. Carter followed up wins over Canadian Eve Constantini (6-2, 6-2) and American Sierra Sandy (6-2, 6-3) with a three-hour 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 victory over American Emily Bi.
Carter will play No. 9 seed Elaine Chervinsky of the United States in the first round of the main draw, which features 128 players from around the world.
