Tennis Manitoba is excited to announce that a Pre-Manitoba Open Practice Matchplay will be hosted at the Tennis Manitoba Hub @ Deer Lodge from July 16th-18th. Players of all ages with all skill levels are welcome to sign up for the competition.
Matchplay Date: July 16-18 (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday)
Matchplay Format:
Men’s and women’s singles events are offered at the Open, 4.5, and 3.5 levels. Also included is co-ed 2.5 singles.
Players can enter just one singles event, but all singles events will feature consolation draw. A third-place match will be played between the losing semifinalists.
All Matches will be played within a 1 hour time limit. The player with two games leads when the time up wins the match. A 7-point tie break will be played when it’s a tie.
Entry fee: 40 dollars per player for 1 event. Guaranteed 2 matches and a player lunch on Saturday.
Prize Money: Prize money will be provided to the winner and finalist of each category.
Sign-Up Deadline: July 13 at 11:59 pm.
