The Prairies Cup wheelchair singles event was held August 18-20 as part of the Tech-Air Manitoba Open at Kildonan Tennis Club. Four Manitoba players (James Bernus, Sam Unrau, Jason Betker and Darrin Luke) were joined by four players from Alberta (Eric Dechaine, Jeffrey Mccuaig, Souheil Saab and Kyle Thompson). In the final, Thompson beat Bernus 6-0, 7-5.
