This is one of the best summer jobs anywhere. Eight weeks on Yacht Club
Island in sparkling Lake of the Woods, with fully-paid accommodation and
meals in Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club. You will be part of an
enthusiastic young team delivering fun and effective sports and social
programs to members and their families. Your colleagues include tennis
players, sailors, swimmers and hospitality staff. Come and experience
island life in one of the friendliest environments you’ll find!
Responsibilities include:
• Promoting and running the Club's tennis program for adults and juniors
• Managing and mentoring, and potentially hiring, an Assistant Pro
• Promoting, organizing and running the Club’s tennis tournaments
• Conducting private lessons for members
Preferred Skills:
• Must have a minimum Instructor 1 and Club Professional 1 certification
(Club Pro2 and Coach 2 is preferred) and experience teaching
Progressive Tennis Programs
• Experience working with managing and mentoring other instructors is
desirable
• High level interpersonal skills and a demonstrated capacity to work in a
team environment are essential as Head Tennis Pro works along
side all staff members (tennis, sailing, swimming) and may live at
Yacht Club.
Compensation:
• Monthly salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, paid
bi-weekly
• Accommodation in the Clubhouse if required, and all meals
• Share of private lessons revenue
• Eligibility for generous bonus program
• Opportunity for additional hourly earnings
