Tuxedo Tennis Club is a community friendly, inclusive, non-profit tennis facility that promotes fitness, camaraderie, and the sport of tennis for everyone. The club is operated by a volunteer Board, and dedicated volunteer members, who maintain and operate a clean and safe club for all ages.

The club facilities offer:

  • 6 hard surface courts
  • 2 LED lit courts with spectator areas
  • Online booking system, and a staffed club house to assist members

  • Grassed viewing areas for the social side of tennis with friends
  • Newly renovated full service clubhouse

  • Club house indoor lounge area, drinking fountain, and canteen service with liquor license
  • Club Pro Nelly Dvornicka, an integral part of tour programs and skills development,
  • Wheelchair Tennis access and Wheelchair Tennis Canada certified coach, Nelly Dvornicka
  • Connection to Yip Stringing for top quality racquet stringing service
  • Tournaments, coaching, skill development clinics and social activities around tennis.

The club has completed surface restoration with professional deep and surface crack repairs, surface restoration with plexipave hard surface courts, and new lines and nets on 4 courts in 2021. All 6 courts will be completed by 2022 with the assistance of the City of Winnipeg Community Incentive Grant Program and support from the Land Dedication Reserve Fund. 

TTC Program and Club Professional highlights:

  • Popular Men’s/Women’s/Mixed drop-in sessions format tennis, in mornings, and select evenings. No need to make up a team or a match, come and play with other drop-in members, make new friends, and play with old friends.  Great way to just get out and play tennis!
  • Large variety of programs for players of all levels and ages, such as mixed doubles Team Tennis for intermediate and advanced members, Triple Threat for 2.0-4.5 levelled players, themed free to members clinics run by the Club Pro, Men’s and Women’s singles ladders, and more.
  • F.A.S.T. – Fun Adult Starter Tennis which is a newly redesigned program for beginner players looking to learn the technical and tactical basics and enjoy the sport of tennis further as they get implemented into FAST League and FAST Triple Threat programs once they complete the initial session
  • Club tournaments, including Men’s and Women’s singles championships, Men’s/Women’s/Mixed doubles championships and a Parent/Child tournament.
  • Junior Team Tennis – multi-club junior team competition 
  • Summer Camps – run by the club pro and the ND Tennis Academy director 
  • Club sponsored special events, including the Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy
  • ND Tennis Academy est. 2015 sees and trains hundreds of junior and adult players from MB, SK, BC as well as Europe each year. With 15 years of national and international coaching experience, along with over 30 years of playing and competing experience, Nelly Dvornicka is dedicated to provide world class coaching by continuously upgrading the Club and Academy programs, teaching and developing players of all ages (starting as early as 4 years old)  in over 15 recreational, advanced and high performance programs throughout the year.
