We’re excited to announce that George Kylar will be inducted into the Tennis Manitoba Hall of Fame in the Builder category on June 27 during the Winnipeg National Bank Challenge at the Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club.

George has been a fixture in the local tennis community for over five decades. He’s participated in international tennis events as a player, coach, and stringer, but it’s what he’s done for the sport in our province that stands out the most. After winning Canadian nationals and Manitoba provincial championships as a player, George went on to help numerous tennis facilities and local players become successful. He also coached his son Kevin Kylar who became the first Manitoban to earn ATP points.

Congratulations George and thank you for everything you’ve done for tennis in Manitoba!
