Players from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and B.C. won titles at the Tuxedo Junior Open, held June 2-5 at Tuxedo Tennis Club. Raajan Mann of BC (boys’ U12 singles) and Saskatchewan’s Kolya Sidloski (boys’ U14 singles) left the province with first-place trophies. Shawn Sophasath of Portage la Prairie picked up two titles, winning the boys’ U18 singles and co-ed U18 doubles with Stefan Barre.

A total of 30 players took part in the tournament. Here are the final results:

Boys’ U18 singles final: Shawn Sophasath def. Conrad Koch 7-6, 6-2
Co-ed U18 doubles round-robin: 1st place Stefan Barre/Shawn Sophasath, 2nd place Maya Arksey/Elinor Shpunt
